so much style on a budget! is it antique? probably! is it full of some mysteries? yes! it has some subtle hints that the settings and stones are original, but the ring was re-banded beginning at the shoulders, which means that the band isn't helpful for dating this ring

the stones were represented by a reputable dealer as garnet, but an electronic gem tester is having a tough time ruling out that the stones might actually be glass impersonating garnet. it's a great impersonation if that's the case. 

it's a striking setting that pulls in modernist design elements, which is a fun twist on a classic boat style
