CAN I SEE IT IN PERSON?
This business is very intentionally web-based with scarce in-person events and pop-ups. On average, there are one to two pop-up dates in the Bay Area per month where you can come see the treasure(s) you're eyeing online IRL. If you plan to visit a specific item at an upcoming event please coordinate with us in advance so we can be sure to bring that item.
SHIPPING
All prices include US First Class shipping via USPS. The Rajah Press is responsible for the item from time of purchase, in transit, until the item is marked 'delivered' at the mailing address indicated in the shipping information provided at checkout. We are not responsible for items that disappear off doorsteps or out of mailboxes after the item is marked 'delivered.' Please ask for a quote for additional insurance, or signature at delivery if you've had trouble safely receiving packages at your mailing address.
International orders are approved on a case by case basis, with corresponding shipping quote. Please reach out to see if we're currently able to safely ship with tracking to your location.
CONDITION & CURIOSITIES
All items are carefully tested, inspected, described and photographed to help you decide whether the treasure you're eyeing is the right treasure for you. If you need additional information to help make an intention, informed, confident purchase, please reach out via the contact option or via @therajahpress on IG and we'll be happy to assist you with your questions and curiosities. If you want additional photos or measurements to help you make a careful decision, please reach out via email or IG.
If an item as a condition issue that occurs within one week of receiving the item please contact us immediately. We carefully test all clasps and bails, inspect stone settings, etc, but sometimes we miss something. Within one week of receiving the item it's fair to assume we missed something, beyond that it's more likely because of use and wear and we can recommendation about a local jeweler to work with.
Every item offered is pre-loved or handmade and each piece will show signs of previous wear or the hands that made it. If you love pristine, machine-made fine jewelry then this collection might not be your vibe.
EXCHANGES, only
Full price items ordered through this website are eligible for exchanges or store credit within 7 days of the delivery date that USPS marks the item as delivered. Discounted & sale items are NOT eligible for exchange or store credit. To exchange an item please send us a message to coordinate. Buyers are responsible for secure return packaging, return postage (with tracking), and there's an expectation that there's consistent, timely communication from the buyer about the exchange.
If you received an item you're unhappy with because it has damage that was not shown in the photos or disclosed in the item's description, please reach out to us and we will help make it right.
Rarely a buyer will experience new damage to their freshly adopted treasure within a short time period of buying the item. Most often this damage is the fault of the caretaker/owner of the jewelry, not the shop that sold the jewelry.
SALE & DISCOUNTED items are final sale, not eligible for exchanges or store credit
When this shop offers sales & discounts it is very intentionally designed to offer customers a reward and move inventory in line with a new behind the scenes strategy. Please ask all questions prior to purchase as sale items are final sale and not eligible for exchange.
WHY NOT RETURNS?
Did you know that since early 2020 when big box retailers started offering free shipping and flexible returns items ordered online are now four times more likely to be returned? Big Retail is developing a culture of 'buy and then decide,' which is creating additional product waste and big consequences, like a secondary market for the items they receive via returns that they most often to not offer for sale again at full price.
The Rajah Press previously offered returns/refunds, but because of the new ecommerce culture of 'buy and decide' we have had to shift to an exchange/store credit policy, which has led to more careful purchases, happier buyers, and more predictable business finances.
Returns are actually a big financial loss for a business, even when the item is returned in sellable condition. The business loses the costs of the packaging materials, time packing/shipping, transaction & seller fees ($$!), postage/insurance, none of which are refunded to the seller when an item is returned.
