it would be so nice to fully know this ring's story, but we're left to admire and examine this starburst sensation to guess its provenance. it seems very likely that the starburst setting and its turquoise stone were originally the top of a stick pin, and that the vintage band was added later in a pin-to-ring conversion project

it's southwestern in style, with a touch more celestial flare than you'd expect for a gold and turquoise star flower design

in good vintage condition

the turquoise sits in the setting, likely held in with jeweler's epoxy since the bezel doesn't rise over the edges of the stone. the stone is a bright hue with some inclusions and a dull surface

time-earned patina throughout the design details

band is slightly out-of-round and is flatter near the base of the band, which doesn't impact fit

there's faint evidence of a previous sizing near the base of the band

This is a vintage item and will show surface scratches, dents, dings, dulling, wear, patina, and signs of having been worn and loved
