a sturdy, very well made graduated strand of hollow ball beads strung on a silver chain 

strung on cable chain, the beads have great movement and the wear you want to see from a strand of vintage ball beads— more wear at the center of the beads and more patina where the beads meet each other 

the largest beads are at the center of the strand, but if you wanted to wear this piece with a pendant the lobster clasp is large enough that it could act as a pendant holder, too, if you wore the largest beads at the back of your neck with the clasp in front as a pendant holder

in good vintage condition

the beads are hollow, but sturdy and it doesn't seem that any of the beads have noticeable dents or crushed areas

sturdy vintage lobster clasp

heavy time-earned patina, most noticeable between the beads and on the chain beneath the beads — the patina has a warm hue (see photo)
