there is some wear to the gold overlay, most notably along the edges, on the exterior of the hinge, and on the smaller bail
new jump ring bail is gold plating over sterling silver, which is less gold than gold fill, so although it currently has a brighter hue than the heart locket, it will wear to reveal the silver faster than the rest of the locket
heavy patina throughout the engraved floral details and throughout the inside compartment — additional polishing is left up to the buyer. too much polishing will result in more loss of the gold overlay
