one side of the abacus is shinier than the rest because it was buffed to try to remove some of the deeper, jagged scratch marks from an overly thorough filing and acid testing

This is a vintage item and will show surface scratches, dents, dings, dulling, wear, patina, and signs of having been worn and loved
