reimagined V I N T A G E // memento mori / solid 10k yellow gold and diamond skull ring / Memento Mori / size 7.75 to 8

the most recent manifestation of the memento mori conversion ring project I seem to have going over here. a wearable prayer about being present and grateful and aware of our mortality, rather than floating through this lifetime with the illusion of forever ahead of us.

this is a true one of a kind. each one of the memento mori rings has its own personality, and per usual, this is crafted from an antique 10k fraternal pin paired with a 10k and diamond half eternity band. the skull's face has new diamond eyes, replacing the old synthetic ruby eyes

the skulls face is slightly rosier in hue than the 10k yellow gold band

the original fraternal Greek inlaid enamel letters have been hand filed off of the skull's forehead and the whole piece carefully designed and assembled to make it a perfect stacking ring.

in good upcycled condition

the skull features the original synthetic ruby eyes, which are free from chips and cracks, but will show minor surface wear under magnification

the forehead has some inconsistencies throughout the surface from where the inlaid enamel Greek letters were removed

surface scratches, dents and dings throughout the surface of the gold
