once a class ring with a raised crest with enameled details it was worn beyond recognition and the enameling had to go. the shape of the crest was reminiscent of a scarab, and so it seemed fitting that this ring's rebirth would be adorned with a creature symbolizing the same
it has great finger coverage, but its thin and lightweight, which is lovely for those of us whose fingers don't love chunkier signets

signet is thin! face is ~1.15mm thick and the base of the thin band is a mere 0.4mm thick

in good reworked antique condition
the scarab is new engraving to replace/cover a fading crest, which means that the engraving has imperfections not from the reworking, but from existing character on the surface of the original crest that wasn't fully masked by the new engraving
the base of the band is thin and there are faint solder seams, which point either to previous sizings or to the band having split previously. at some point part of the base of the band might need to be replaced if there are recurring splits.
when this piece was reworked it lost its original patina. new patina has been added, which gives it a rosier hue than its true rose gold base tone
this is an antique item and will show surface scratches, dents, dings, dulling, wear, patina, and signs of having been worn and loved
