a spectacular illusion! meant to look like a gold and diamond wide pave-set tennis necklace, it's actually sterling silver with gold overlay and each 'diamond' is actually a raised circle that looks like a diamond at first glance. It's convincing enough that when worn someone had to lean in reallllllly close to investigate their curiosity about whether or not they were looking at grey diamonds or a trick of the eye

this piece is likely circa Y2k, which has given it enough time to pick up some quirks, which are mainly visible when being inspected, not while being worn

heavy patina throughout this piece — any manual polishing risks removing some of the gold overlay, but it could be cleaned with a jewelry dip if you desire it brighter and shinier

one of the links is bent in the back of the setting and has the beginning of a crack in the link, which isn't visible from the front and isn't in a part of the link that's necessary for integrity

overall the necklace has picked up plenty of warbles and inconsistencies in how it hangs flat, none of which catch the eye when worn on a body
