a remarkable art nouveau era lioness crafted in 14k yellow gold, with red stone eyes (too small for a gemologist to confidently identify), and an old euro cut sparkly diamond as a snack — it is not your imagination, the diamond is flush in the mouth, which means that it's at a downward angle
it's safe to guess this isn't a one of a kind, but thus far some online sleuthing hasn't surfaced its siblings, which hints that there aren't many out there
solid 14k with a spectacular old hallmark that almost looks to be a mushroom? maybe.

between size 7.75-8 on a sizing mandrel, but may fit smaler because of the width of the band and face of the ring
lion's face measures ~13.55mm north/south and rises up to ~5mm off the finger at the nose
band tapers to ~2.65mm wide
old cut diamond measures ~3.5mm across and is FULL of sparkle

in good antique condition
this ring is a century old and has been worn and loved, so it does have wear. the vine-like details on the shoulders have faded significantly, as have the details throughout the face — this includes that one of the fang teeth that acts as a prong has lost its tip. this broken tooth could be repaired by an expert jeweler, but for now it's adding character and the stone is not yet loose in the setting
the diamond is free from chips or cracks, but may have minor losses around the exposed edges visible with magnification, and because the stone is in a setting it cannot be thoroughly examined for damage that may be hidden by the setting
red cabochon eyes are free from damage, but have minor surfae wear
variations in hue throughout the ring depending on how much patina is present
this is an antique item and will show surface scratches, dents, dings, dulling, wear, patina, and signs of having been worn and loved
