it appears this ring was fairly recently hand polished lightly as the patina is fairly inconsistent and quite dark within the recessed areas of the setting
the sealant on the carving is wearing away, which is visible in good lighting. it would be strategic to remove this ring while washing your hands if you want to keep the colors in the carving bright.
this was clearly handmade, likely a custom one of a kind piece, and it has a fairly organic form, which shows up in variations in the lines throughout the form
there's some minimal pitting to the surface of the gold. it might be an original quirk rather than a time-earned wear
