an extremely special coiled serpent that's somewhere between art nouveau and art deco elegance, and my estimate would be that this dates to the 1940s

this sweet serpent strikes a balance between sturdy, significant, dainty, and whimsical, which is no small design challenge

the hand engraved scale details have the perfect amount of wear, the diamond shaped white gold setting is beautifully softened

original ruby eyes, replacement focal diamond

this is a wider band, which means it will fit smaller than it measures on a mandrel. it measures size 10.75, but the narrowest part of the band is 7mm wide, so I would guess that this fits more like a size 10.25

in good vintage condition

the ruby eyes are original and may have minor surface wear, but don't have major chips or cracks

there is softening to the design details, but they aren't very worn

the diamond is a new replacement for an old peridot stone that was badly damaged
