it's hard to date a ring as seemingly handmade as this one, but given its patina and wear it feels fairly safe to guess this is a vintage piece, but it might be more recent

the owl is expertly carved in relief and the the shoulders and band have a bark-like motif giving the owl the appearance of sitting in the void mid-tree trunk
