a wonderfully ornate medal with an engraving of a swimmer just about to dive into the water. it seems especially poetic. what are you about to dive for? what leap of faith are you on the verge of?

do you see the divers at the top of the pendant near the bail? the design details in this piece are spectacular and it's significantly more ornate than many from the era. definitely custom made, very likely one of a kind, and interestingly doesn't have an inscription on the backside as many do to mark an achievement

the bail is bent forward very slightly

there is significant patina, mostly in the design details — further polishing decisions are left to the buyer

new jump ring bail is not soldered shut

scratches, dents and dings consistent with a vintage piece of jewelry
