the signet is in spectacularly good condition for its age — it spent more time in a jewelry box than on a finger over the course of its lifetime. details on the shoulders are still quite crisp, which is a rare treat for an antique signet

the face of the signet has been polished when the new engraving was added, but the rest of the ring features time-earned patina
