a turn of the last century brooch with a clasp mechanism that had given up long ago has been reworked into a statement east/west pendant with hidden bails

do you see seaweed? moss? something else? stones are amazing and this one doesn't disappoint

unmarked solid 10k rosy yellow bezel setting + 14k hidden bails + agate stone

M E A S U R E M E N T S

~33.1mm x ~17.75mm x ~5mm excluding hidden bails

bails are half-round and the opening measures up to ~5.1mm x ~3.3mm

weighs 5.5g (mostly from the stone)

C O N D I T I O N 

in good reworked antique condition

-stone's surface isn't perfectly smooth — some of the surface-level inconsistencies are from the natural inclusions in the stone and some are tiny tiny chips, though most seem to be from the inclusions
-almost no hints of where the previous brooch hardware was attached and then removed
-noticeable surface scratches throughout the bezel setting, alongside some time-earned patina

this is a vintage item and will show surface scratches, dents, dings, dulling, wear, patina, and signs of having been worn and loved
