the most intricately detailed snake coiled around its precious egg (freshwater pearl). originally a hat pin its been recently converted to a pendant with a double bail, giving it elegant movement. because of the shape of the pearl the pendant will rest with the snake on the pearl's side (see photos)

time-earned patina accenting the scale and facial details of the snake

there's some inconsistency where the 'top' of the pearl was cut slightly where the snake's post is embedded in the pearl
