there are times when it would be very helpful to have a ring's story and this coiled serpent band is one of those times. hallmarked for 1851 if the decoding has been done correctly, it's in pretty spectacular condition for a ring from that era, which may hint at very little use or expert repairs throughout its lifetime. the eyes look like rubies, but are testing with an electronic gem tester as spinel
it's somewhere between true rose and true yellow gold, but if you lean away from rosier hues then this ring isn't your perfect match

measures just over size 11.25 on the mandrel, but will fit closer to size 11 because the band is ~5.2mm wide at narrowest point (base of the band)
spinel eyes are ~1.5mm each
weighs 4.6g, which hints that the snake's head is hollow, which is typical for victorian era snake jewelry

in very good antique condition
-one eye is a replacement with a more modern cut
-the original eye with an antique cut has a very small chip visible with careful eyes or magnification
-heavier scratching on the inside of the band, likely from an overeager polishing
this is an antique item and will show surface scratches, dents, dings, dulling, wear, patina, and signs of having been worn and loved
