oh gosh, every once in a while there's a piece so full of presence and symbolism that it transcends time and trends — this is one of those pieces. it's most definitely one of a kind, very likely a custom conversion project that transformed a scarab stick pin into a pendant with knotted snakes added as a frame. so much symbolism, such good vibes.

in good reworked antique condition
the scarab bead has a tiny bit of wiggle in its setting, but it doesn't seem to be at risk of escaping the setting.
the bottom prong near the bead's hole was either originally shallow or lost its tip at some point, but its still holding onto the scarab
the setting was handmade and seemingly hand forged and has a very organic shape, which means that none of the design details are uniform or perfectly level or aligned with one another
variations in hue and surface texture from time-earned wear, time-earned patina, and solder seams
this is a vintage item and will show surface scratches, dents, dings, dulling, wear, patina, and signs of having been worn and loved
