this ring was created via a lost wax casting technique and there are some areas of the tongue where the excess gold wasn't filed away during the finishing process. this is an original quirk, not damage
lots of time-earned patina throughout the design details and on the underside of the concave snake body
some thinning and surface texture inconsistencies at the base of the band, likely from a previous sizing
