it's always a treat to find especially helpful stacking rings and this curved set of ring guards is an especially dynamic duo as they nest around rings with curved profiles
how'd they stay together so long? well, they were soldered together for a long while with a small gap between them for a tiny solitaire ring to squeeze between them. that configuration wasn't so versatile, so they've been separated by a jeweler. they're not incredibly dynamic stacking rings that instantly dress up a statement ring or band, but they're also spectacular without other rings in the mix.
the diamonds are all prong set, so if you dislike the sensory experience of prongs snagging on loose fibers then this set is NOT for you

in good vintage condition
these bands were previously joined together with two spacer bars, which didn't leave much room to slide another ring between the bands, so they've been separated by a jeweler, which has left the pipe cut style of the bands more pronounced with flat edges
when this set was sourced one of the diamonds on the end of the setting was squished and the diamond was missing — the prongs have been rebuilt and the diamond replaced, but it isn't a perfect match for size or color, so with careful inspection you can spot the replacement stone
