I wish I knew the story of the unmarked solid sterling silver compartment. its sturdy, sleek construction hints that it is an older piece, but not yet antique. it is newly on a vintage chain that compliments its style and is sturdy and thin enough to fit through the pendant’s tiny bail

in good vintage condition

there are a few dark spots on the pendant that I have not attempted to polish off, so I’m unsure if they’re a longtime feature or impermanent 

surface scratches, dents and dings consistent with a vintage piece

new sterling silver jump rings on the end of the chain
