this is an especially nice example with tri color 12k gold fill over sterling silver — an investment in gold that we wouldn't see in modern days for budget reasons — and the use of green and pink gold over the floral engraving adds incredible depth and whimsy to the design

it's not your imagination, there's a dark area on the top/left of the center flower — likely stubborn patina in the recesses of the engraving
new jump ring bail is gold plating over sterling silver, which is less gold than gold fill, so that will wear to reveal the silver faster than the rest of the locket
heavy patina on the inside — additional polishing is left up to the buyer. too much polishing will result in more loss of the gold overlay
This is a vintage item and will show surface scratches, dents, dings, dulling, wear, patina, and signs of having been worn and loved
