a striking, exceptionally well made Mexican pendant that has art deco stylistic inspirations, but is much more recent — maybe 1990s?
it's a nice larger size, but not oversized, and has an incredible presence and sweetness
the pendant and bird are sterling silver, the green leaves appear to be inlay malachite, and perhaps the yellow and black are resin?

in good vintage condition
-some green verdigris patina forms where the small bail meets the pendant, which hints at a high copper content solder
-surface wear to the inlay, but no losses
-it's difficult to tell whether the faint line near the bird's left wing is a scratch in the black background or a seam
-was lightly hand polished, but additional polishing decisions are left to the buyer
this is a vintage item and will show surface scratches, dents, dings, dulling, wear, patina, and signs of having been worn and loved
