links are hollow, but are mostly free from dents and dings. they're joined by small panel segments between the links, which have picked up a few minor bends, which means this chain doesn't lie completely flat on a level surface, but it lays perfect when worn
there is wear to the gold plating and it would be difficult to re-plate links selectively — please see the photos, which show that the top of each gold plated link has wear and a brassier hue where
