a stunning blue lapis lazuli wire wrapped bead chain with six sturdy filigree stations and a matching filigree clasp

the stations are evenly spaced on the sides, with a longer segment of wire wrapped beads at the center of the chain

wonderful variations in hue between the lapis beads, ranging from a deeper blue with pyrite flecks, to paler hues with more white undertones

unmarked 14k yellow gold, likely a custom made piece as the clasp has visible solder seams and each wire wrapped link has visible tool marks/dents

weighs 30.4g, mostly from the beads

C O N D I T I O N 

in very good vintage condition

very likely a late mid century custom made piece, it doesn't have many hints that it was worn often other than some time-earned patina throughout the gold

some of the lapis beads aren't perfectly round and have flat ends, but this appears to be an original quirk as the wire wrapping is snug up against the ends of the beads

there's one filigree station that had very thorough acid testing and then some buffing, but there's still a faint hint of the file marks with careful eyes, perfect lighting, and/or magnification (see photo)

the clasp's bails are NOT soldered shut, but are sturdy
