well, well... looking for statement earrings that are timeless, bold, and surprisingly comfortable? these beasts might do the trick. Very likely Italian in origin given their 750 hallmark for 18k, their style, and their hollow form, but not marked for Italy.
they're lions, of course, but reminiscent of stylized forms you might see on door knockers in Europe, so they're less literal and more playful

in very good vintage condition
-one of the latch backs is tighter than the other, the looser one does close and keep the earring on the ear, but has a bit more wiggle
-both ear posts end in a ball bead to make the end of the post more comfortable if/when it pressed into your neck/head, but it also means the post is a bit wider to fit through an ear hole
-these have NOT been polished and have variations in surface scratches and patina
-no notable dents, dings, but they are hollow, so they need to be cared for to prevent damage
