a true antique treasure, dating to 1917 and inscribed with the letter D

this is a signet ring with a twist — it opens into a locket or poison compartment, and still has a nice, snug closure

18ct British gold

M E A S U R E M E N T S

round locket measures 10mm
2mm rise off the finger at center of locket

size 6.25 to 6.5, closer to a size 6.5 (ring is bent out of round slightly)

C O N D I T I O N

in good antique condition

locket lid's latch closes nice & snug, though the lid does have a bit of wiggle & rattle

this ring is fairly lightweight, so I suspect the domed shoulders are semi-solid/hollow

surface scratches, dents, dings consistent with an antique piece

British hallmark is partially missing from a previous sizing

ring was sized previously leaving a faint sizing seam and the band is now slightly out of round and doesn't fit snuggly on the mandrel

engraving on the face of the locket has softened significantly
