this is the ultimate wearable poem about rebirth, reinvention, and manifestation. originally a turn of the century signet it was worn and loved so thoroughly that the snakes had worn to mere whispers and it had been re-banded with a sturdy new wide band at some point long ago. it's been recently rehabbed by an expert hand engraver & stone setter to bring the swirly shoulders back to snakes, though leaving enough of the original shoulders to honor the age of the ring. yes, the snakes feature sparkly new diamond eyes. the top of the signet? not-yet-adorned, which leaves the possibility of adding engraving or stones if you opt to go that route down the road

in good rehabbed antique condition
-was re-banded — solder seams just below the detailed shoulders
-'new' portion of the band is wide and thick and full of surface dents and dings
-band is out-of-level
-engraving on the raised repousse snakes is new and crisp, and the diamond eyes are new, but some of the original raised details were not re-engraved to leave some of the faded antique whimsy present
this is a vintage item and will show surface scratches, dents, dings, dulling, wear, patina, and signs of having been worn and loved
