behold, this is a reworked vintage band in our new Star Story series, which transforms handpicked, soulful vintage and antique bands into starburst bands. they're old and they're new. each one is absolutely one of a kind, but part of the constellation of vintage bands being reworked in this style.
a bit about the process:
-we hand-select vintage bands that meet our practical measurement, and curatorial vibe specifications
-we source natural diamonds with enough sparkle to wow us in spite of their tiny size
-we work with an SF-based stone-setter who creates each starburst's personality by hand with heart, soul, and the right amount of sass
this particular band is a comfort fit band in a buttery hue of solid 14k yellow gold. the five diamonds are new round brilliant cuts. the star set diamonds are done by hand, so you'll notice they aren't perfectly equidistant or level, and each one has its own little quirks in its eight point setting. it's a wearable prayer about our connection with each other, the universe, and the magic that is in the now, which is possible only because of what has come before and what is yet to unfold

this is a vintage band so there are slight fluctuations in width from wear, and it averages to about ~3mm wide x ~1.45mm thick

-heavy wear to the hallmark
-diamonds are new and free from damage
-star settings are each done by hand on a vintage band, which is extra tricky. they are neither perfectly level or equidistant and each one has eight points, but they points are all unique, like actual stars. this is the magic of a truly hand-set stone, but if you prefer precision then this isn't your perfect treasure
-top of the band around the stones has been polished more than the rest of the band, which means that there is a temporary minor discrepancy in luster and patina throughout the band, which will even out very quickly with wear
-this is a kinda quirky band in that are some inconsistencies in hue throughout the band that appear to be from impurities in the gold, rather than time-earned patina. these are a feature of the band, not something that can easily be polished out
this is a reworked vintage item and will show surface scratches, dents, dings, dulling, wear, patina, and signs of having been worn and loved
