well, well... a snake—in itself a story about rebirth—was once a tie tack and has been reborn as a very stackable ring.
the tie tack itself was from the art nouveau era and it needed a big tune-up, including new diamond eyes to replace the paste eyes that hadn't held up over time. the snake knot was paired with a very sweet pipe-cut band from slightly later, with sweet engraved initials and date from 1946

size 6.75 and can easily be sized, though care must be taken not to lose the engraving inside the retro band
snake knot ~11.85mm north/south on the finger and rises up to 4.8mm off the finger (at the diamond eyes' settings)
the band is ~1.45mm wide and ~1.2 to ~1.3mm thick (fluctuates throughout the band) — for another band to nestle/stack with this ring beneath the snake the band can't have more than ~1.1mm rise off the finger
diamond eyes are each ~1.5mm across

in good reworked vintage condition
-the snake's scales have modest wear/softening
-the diamond eyes are new
-the band is pipe cut (flat on either side), though it's flatter on one side than the other
-original 1946 engraving inside the band
-it's true, the snake is not centered on the band. the band was attached in line with the nose and tail
-it's not your eyes: there is a subtle variation in hue from rosier to yellower throughout the snake, likely from patina
this is a reworked vintage item and will show surface scratches, dents, dings, dulling, wear, patina, and signs of having been worn and loved
