the most recent manifestation of the memento mori ring project going on over here. a wearable prayer about being present and grateful and aware of our mortality, rather than floating through this lifetime with the illusion of forever ahead of us.
this is a true one of a kind. each one of the memento mori rings has its own personality, and per usual, this is crafted from a new 14k yellow gold original design skull modeled after skull pins of yesteryear paired with a 14k yellow gold classic half eternity band with larger-than-expected accent diamonds
this piece is especially tricky to photograph between reflections on the forehead and the camera struggling to focus on all of the diamonds simultaneously — it is much, much better in person

there's a ~1.9mm rise underneath the skull's head, meaning it can be stacked with a ring that's up to ~1.75mm thick/tall
weighs 3.7 grams and features ~0.2tcw natural diamonds
C O N D I T I O N
in good upcycled condition
-when the skulls are cast they have a slightly organic, matte surface texture, which is has been mostly polished to a higher shine
-the diamond eyes are smaller than the diamonds in the vintage band, but they're a pretty close match for clarity and color
-the band originally had five diamonds, the center stone was removed and that real estate was extended and is now where the skull rests atop the band — an intentional choice so that this band can easily stack with other rings
-solder marks visible where the skull was joined with the setting
-the stones are free from damage, but will show minor surface wear under magnification
the vintage band shows surface scratches, dents, dings, and dulling
