a vintage sterling silver classic 1:1 oval trombone link chain that has been modified to include a large vintage carabiner clasp with a tension closure that must be squeezed to unhook it from the slide lock
this chain does NOT have a clasp in the 'back' of the necklace, so the carabiner clasp is both the clasp and the pendant/charm holder unless you opt to have a jeweler cut the chain mid-length and add a clasp

carabiner clasp is ~43mm long end to end x 25mm wide
for a charm/pendant to fit onto the carabiner's u-shaped hook the pendant's bail would need to have an inner opening that's at least 3mm x 2mm
weighs 29.4g (sturdy, chunky, but not overly heavy)

-subtle inconsistent patina throughout the chain
-some of the links have minor dents and dings, which hints that the chain is likely semi-hollow
-jump ring between clasp and chain is NOT soldered shut, but it's a sturdy gauge
-vintage carabiner clasp opens easily with squeezing pressure, and hooks in snuggly when closed
this is a reworked vintage item and will show surface scratches, dents, dings, dulling, wear, patina, and signs of having been worn and loved
