-an original quirk: the solder used between the hoop and the hinge back closure & post tarnished to a dark grey. did they mistakenly use a solder with too much copper content? seems like it.
-one of the hoops has a slight angle between the two sides of the ear wire, which means the croissant's ends aren't perfectly level. this doesn't impact functionality or appearance when worn, but it's an original quirk worth noting
