a late edwardian or early art deco chubby tapered donut band is a buttery antique 18k yellow gold with perfectly imperfect old cut diamonds
the diamonds, especially on the sides, have noticeable carbon flecks in them which gives the diamonds an almost salt & pepper look. if you love very clear diamonds then these are not your flavor. if you love an old cut diamond with lots of character, then this could be your match!
it has a wonderful old hallmark and it's in a hard-to-find larger size. hallmark sleuthing didn't immediately uncover the BH maker, but the 18ct stamp without a British hallmark suggests this may have been made in the UK or Italy for export

front of the band is just shy of 7mm wide and and the band tapers to ~1.5mm at the base of the band
rises ~3mm off the finger at the center of the setting
the center diamond's point protrudes beyond the base of the band, but was filed flat, which makes it comfortable on the finger
each diamond is approximately 4mm across

in good vintage condition
the band is just sliiightly out of round
stones are free from chips or cracks, but they're antique so they will show minor surface wear under magnification, especially since the table sits so high out of the setting
the thinning at the base of the band is likely from a partial re-banding (there are two faint solder seams) that didn't leverage the opportunity to make a sturdier band
This is a vintage item and will show surface scratches, dents, dings, dulling, wear, patina, and signs of having been worn and loved
