what a treat to stumble upon a late art deco solitaire that carries design elements of edwardian, art deco, and art nouveau jewelry. the face's square setting is inspired by Edwardian era settings, while the asymmetric floral filigree nods toward art nouveau whimsy. the diamond is an older cut with fewer facets, but it sparkles beautifully in good lighting
its tiny size likely helped preserve it over the last century. it would be a great candidate for a pinky ring, and it's surprisingly stackable

C O N D I T I O N
in good antique condition
-diamond is free from damage, but will show minor surface wear under magnification
-the white gold setting would have featured crisp hand engraving, but it's faded significantly, as has the engraving that would have carried through on the edges of the band
-there's a minor dent on the side wall of the filigree close to where the shoulder meets the band, which is very hard to notice and doesn't seem to be impacting structural integrity
-thinning at the base of the band from both wear and a previous sizing
-hallmarks are nearly completely faded away
-no breaks in the filigree, a small miracle after a century!
