a gorgeous, solid gold abacus with beads that move! this is from the turn of the century, a true antique, and is much larger than many of its peers, with substantial weight for a mid-sized pendant
antique 9k (375) rosy and yellow gold — the frame and beads are rosy and the posts are more yellow. it is marked 375 without other origin hallmarks, which hints that this piece was most likely from Australia, a commonwealth country for which 9k is a standard karat

this is a much larger abacus than the tiny abacus charms of the era and measures ~26.25mm x ~15.25mm excluding bails
bail has a ~3.95mm inner diameter and is not soldered shut

C O N D I T I O N
in very good antique condition
-was sourced dark dark with patina, some of which has been hand polished away, but if you prefer a brighter, paler hue you may need some more polishing
-original jump ring bail
-all beads move easily and no two are alike, which points to their handmade origins
-solder joints are visible where the posts meet the sides
this is a vintage item and will show surface scratches, dents, dings, dulling, wear, patina, and signs of having been worn and loved
