truly the perfect slinky, narrow, dainty, sturdy sterling silver flat curb chain. the clasp is finished with unsoldered jump rings, but it's survived many decades as-is, so likely doesn't need to be soldered unless you're prone to snagging your chain
it isn't your imagination— it is a bright silvery hue thanks to a rhodium plating. rhodium plating is added to many Italian sterling silver chains to add extra shine, while preventing tarnish. it wears away over time, but cannot easily be removed. Re-plating is an option, but also a matter of personal preference. On daintier chains with smaller design details like this one the fading rhodium plating is less obvious.
